Boarding the ship - ooh exciting

Hey right, the most recent journal entry,

So I am leaving to get on my boat in a couple of hours. Just dropped off my bag on ship, which is very pretty, steel hull but lots of nice riggings and the people also seem great from my first impressions. Had a bit of an issue getting into the harbor as I had absolutely nothing to show that I was getting on the ship, but after about 15 minutes hanging out with the security guards, well to be more accurate getting chatted up by the security guards it was all sorted and I was allowed in.

Went diving again this morning, and as usual saw very pretty fish, including a very funky polka dot one (for those of you that don’t already know I have a thing for polka dot!!) Also say a huge ray and a huge turtle, up until now they have all been little. So yay, loving it nd cant wait to go diving off the Galapagos – I know, you are all very jealous, ha ha!

Right so going backwards in time now, can’t really do this chronologically, far too technical so I think I will go for reverse chronological order(ish) with a bit of in the right order as well – okay you will just have to cope.

So yesterday I had a quiet night, had planned to spend the day site seeing the other parts of the island, but woke up with a stinking hangover, which kinda destroyed that idea!! So instead I went down to the beach to try and even out my tan, but you know, me and sun don’t seem to got together well, when I’m wearing a silly wet suit it is boiling and my skin gets silly markings, when I have time to sunbathe in a bikini its cloudy, and not only that it rained!!!! (although nice hot tropical rain). So my tan is now even more silly, made worse by the fact the burn bits are now no longer burnt, but instead pealing – Toby you would be so proud of my comical British tourists tan!

In the afternoon was feeling better so went to a animal sanctuary and saw lots of pretty birds and big fish, was very cool but that’s all I’m gonna say about it now.

Wandered down the beach to take pictures of Palm Trees, stopped to have a beer, got hassled by some locals, went home, read my book on the porch – very good book by the way, Red Mars, Tait I think you recommended it – good job. Just need to state the locals are normally excellent and in the whole 9 days last night was the only time one has managed to annoy me, but hey its good to get annoyed once in a while!

Okay, this is turning into a bit of an essay, oh not too bad yet. Right, Saturday, erm – oh shit, just looked outside and its raining again – that’s not meant to happen in this hot tropical place. The evening was great fun – hence the hangover the next day, spent most met lots of people and went to a bar in “the happening strip of Barbados” it was really cool, played pool (one two, lot three), danced like a crazy person on the stage, ha ha, was all good.

So have to dash to get the boat now, may not be in contact for a few weeks but will right another entry as soon as I can. Have uploaded a few more pics, hope you like them.

Sophie – is it still okay to stay with you on the 29th

London people or people who can get to London – are you around on the 29th or until 6pm on the 30th?

Be – Have you done your dreads yet?

Judy – Scuba diving in a swimming pool must be so dull, well compared to here (hee hee sorry)
