Well, what a Sunday and what a week. This past week at school was test week which means lots of writing and Robby-Son teacher in bad mood. Yes my students said it is only fair for me to take a Korean name if they have to take an English name. I feel like I should now try to catch flies with chop sticks. But its better than "Rabbit Teacher" which my two youngest students call me. Why? I have no idea. I only chewed out one class this time which is down from last months tests. Its really hard to be mean because I know they have no clue what I am saying because I tend to talk a lot faster when I'm upset. im gonna have to work on that.I just want my kids to do good and it bothers me when the don't do well. Things with my director has got a little better so maybe she has decided to lay off for awhile.

Well as you can tell by the pics, I traveled to Pal Gong Temple up in the mountains with a friend who owns a car. So we drove up in the mountains and I found out that it would have been smart to bring a jacket. Hello mountains.....cold...so my trip was a "refreshing" one. The temple and surrounding mountains were beautiful and for the first time I got to hear the sound of silence. The one thing I have missed so much. I mean for the last 2 months I have been woke up by jack hammers, constant noise from cars, and fruit trucks with loud speakers playing the worst dance music as loud as they can. So being in the mountains really recharged me.

I must say sorry for not being in the pics again but it was so cold we didn't stay long. But the buddha statue was huge. Look how small the people look at the base. I really had a good time and we are already planned a second trip and really explore the area. Hopefully I will remember a coat. Along with the temple there was a cable car ride to the top of the mountain but due to the cold we decided to pass it up this time.

After the temple trip we went back to Daegu and we stopped at a famous american chinese diner. I found it funny eating americanized chinese food in korea. I was proud of myself because I actually enjoyed the food. I never have been a big fan of any Asian food but I guess living here has really changed my taste buds. I have no idea what I was eating but it was really good and had seconds since it was all you can eat.

Anyways, I had a good time and hope yall enjoy the pics and thanks for the messages in my guest book. It always boosts my spirits knowing someone back home is thinking of me. I have been here 2 MONTHS already and have had only afew downer days and your messages have really helped me out. Well everyone take care and hope to hear from everybody and if yall are in the neighborhood you are welcome to come visit. I mean I am only a 15 hour flight away.Ok the ticket is 1300 bucks, which might set ya back a bit. Oh thanks for the care package sis. My pad is a little more like home.
