Went snorkeling today on a speed boat in the reefs and islands around Krabi. It was absolutely stunning ive never seen anything like it just a whole different world underwater. I saw jelly fish, puffer fish, sea urchins and loads of other stuff. We then visited loads of island around the area where the beaches where just amazing. We also went to the beach that "The Beach" was filmed on. It was so weird standing on it its loads smaller than it looks in the film. Ive got a picture of our group doing the same pose in the same place as on the film where leanardo receives an email right at the end. When we got back we where all pretty exhausted so we went to the closest bar and got burger and chips. I even managed to track down a pint of strongbow cost me quite alot though. i also bought some sandals at last!
The next day i slept in till late and then got a boat out to another island to do some rock climbing. Unfortunately my instructor was an absolute idiot he was Thai and his name was Toby but he just didnt care and was trying to make me climb a grade 6 after i told him i hadnt done any climbing in over a year. He also was really sarcastic for instance when i asked him where i should climb to, like the next best hold he just said "Up". The climbing was good but after about 2 hours i was just exhausted it was really hard work and so hot and humid. On the way back there was another huge rainstorm and i was in the dodgiest longtail boat that was full of water even before it started raining. I managed to get back ok but i was soaking from head to toe and worried about my camera in my rucksack, luckily it was fine. That evening we all had a traditional Thai meal in a nice restuarant, the cocktail names where fairly funny a bloody mary was written a "Buddy Married". After that we went to bed fairly early as we had alot of traveling to do the next day.
