Right I'll try and continue where i left off but im finding it hard to remember everything as we are doing so much.

When i last wrote i was in Bangkok going to the National museum but i got fairly lost by myself and stumbled across a Longtail boat ride down the river seeing monastery’s and things took an hour and i had the boat to myself. It was like entering a different world, like an Asian version of Venice with all the boats and houses on stilts.

After that i got a Tuk Tuk back to the hotel, they drive like nutter’s but it was very exciting. That evening i met up with the group who all seemed really nice and we went and had dinner together in this fairly posh Thai restaurant. The food was amazing so many flavors in you mouth at once you wont beleive it we then went to a local bar and drank late into the night the street with al the bars on is incredible every inch of wall has a neon sign and people where selling everything. The last bar we went to was an Irish bar where we listened to Thai singers singing very English songs and if you wanted you could have a pint of Guiness i didn’t in the end but slept well that night.

The next day we got up early and went to Wat Pho which is one of the main temples in Bangkok and has the Reclining Budda, which is just immensely big and breathtaking. The rest of the day we just wandered around Bangkok seeing the sights and smells all incredible.

At about 6pm we got on a train to take us down to Surathani. The train had no air conditioning and all the windows where open and easily big enough that you could jump out. We all had beds with little curtains but not much sleep was had. They give you a four course meal for no money at all and its all hand made stuff that tasted amazing i had pork with fried rice. After that i got to get to know the group a bit better and it turns out that two of the people on this tour are 19 and 21 and come from Minehead and the girl Cat used to work for Taunton Face2face fundraising. What a small world! Well that night on the train i had a small drinking competition with the American, Fred he's 25 between us we put away 11 very big bottle's of cheap Thai Chang beer and went to the "disco" carriage which consisted of a small CD player and a disco ball. It was full of Thai's and i got chatted up by a lady-boy!

We got into Surathani at about 8am with hangovers and got some breakfast then a two hour drive in a songtheaw to Khao Sok National Park and the jungle. We arrived at about 11am surrounded by huts and amazing scenery with a river and cliffs everything you could imagine. The people there are so nice and contented. After we checked all our stuff in we went tubing down the river where basically you sit in a car inatube and float downstream i saw loads of fish and got fairly burnt. We then spent the rest of the day chilling out on the rocks next to the river and playing on the rope swing while the local Thai's bathed in the river. That evening we all ate amazing food surrounded by some very noisy insects that sound that angle grinders. It was so hot and humid i didn’t sleep very well that night.

Anyway i am exhausted and we are all going out for dinner now so im going to end it here but hopefully i will have time to tell you about the elephants tomorrow.

Hope everyone is well, speak to you soon.

Next entry: I've been riding elephants!
