| | | hampi ok, shame about the israelis | | | | | yeah, Hampi was ok, met some very friendly villagers away from the temple complexes - although their inquisitiveness at times became a little overwhelming. The entire village gathered around me under the shade of trees in the square - as if I was a visitor from another planet. So many smiles. So many beautiful people.
Hampi was spoilt by the hordes of delinquent pseudo-hippy israelis with their tie-die 'wandering jew' traveller kit accompanied by tasteless and empty 'goa-to-tel aviv' trance, I guess all rushing to escape the madness and descent into to hell that their country is accelerating towards and probably partly traumatised by the crimes they were 'forced' to inflict upon the unfortuanate Palestinians during their Army service. In fact it was difficult to ignore them as they would make sure that everybody else knew they were there. It might be advisable to learn a bit of Hebrew while visting Hampi. Sayign this though, I doubt they behave any worse than the masses of english retards that flood the spanish resorts.
Actually I was relieved to leave although I woudl have liked to stay longer
