The missing part
Some would not believe it,
but Jennifer's deppressed.
She felt it in the morning,
during Bible and science class.
She felt tears behind her eyes,
they fought to win the prize.
A prize of embarassment,
that Jennifer wanted to hide.
Her heart teemed with feelings.
Feelings that no one knew.
She tried to hide her depression,
But it was plain that she was blue.
When Ben saw her demeanor,
clouded over and so sad,
He sensitively asked her,
"are you feeling bad?
She plastered on a smile,
fake, but big and bright.
"I'm ok, don't worry,
I really am all right."
He couldn't tell that
she had lied.
He walked away contenc,
but Jennifer down deep inside,
was not nearly as pleasant.
Through the rest of the school day,
she wore her fake smile.
She tried to keep it in its place,
but it faded after a while.
She now sits in her bedroom,
depressed and all around sad.
Her world seems to be crumbling.
That's what makes her feel so bad.
Some of her friends are leaving.
For a school so far away.
And yet another has died,
to be seen in heaven some day.
Her world is filled with violence,
Hate and all the rest.
She wishes someone would fix it,
but no one could, at best.
Where's the world repairman?
Can he take on another job>
Will he fix this broken world,
of a girl feeling like a slob?
Who is the world repairman>
Where does he live?
His name is Jesus.
His life he will give,
for any hurting soul,
or child with a broken heart.
He can fix your world,
He just needs to get the right part.
If we can all help him,
the world will be a better place.
We can live for God,
against sin, evil, and disgrace.
We're the part he's missing.
So let's all lend a hand!
With God leading the way,
We can fix this broken land!
