Thanksgiving in a distant land...

it's a bit hard to be here for this holiday, all of the americans have been pretty homesick the last couple of days... but thanksgiving turned out to be such a good time! we went to a town outside of haifa and cooked turkey and stuffing in a kosher resturaunt witha crazy chef (who actually did it all for us- the turkey was amazing!) and then he drove us to the bus station to get back to haifa... so we hop on the bus to go to my family's friend's house to cook the milk products (we're holding the cooked turkey) and my friend kelly realizes that she forgot her backpack at the bus station. now at home you'd be worried that someone had stolen it... here you're worried that it has already been blown up by the police (it's just a matter of when...) so we jump off the bus jump into a cab and drive like mad back there, luckily just in time cuz there was already security there (we had been trying ot call the police on the way to stop it) and he was screaming at us but we just jumped into the cab and drove away. then we made really good apple and pumpkin pie...yum! i can't believe we pulled it all off- i feel so grown up! this'll def. be a thanksgiving i never forget! :)
