Getting to Sinai from Haifa was quite an adventure in itself. My friends and I (two other girls and a crazy guy) decided to take the night bus (6 hours) from Haifa. We thought that we'd planned it all out, buying our tickets in advance... but somehow we hadn't bought seats...only standing room. 6 hours on the night bus...standing... it worked out though. we arrived at sunrise, crossed the border in Eilat jumped in a taxi and after a few mistakes (no one should ever go to the touristy rasasatan)we arrived at our destination (i'd bumped into some random guy and he told me to go to rossa beach in the Al Mahash area). Although we were exhausted, we enjoyed bedouin tea (those bedouins love their tea!)and some amazing food before passing out on hammocks for many hours. That night we dragged wooden cots onto the beach and fell asleep listening to the sea and gazing at the stars.
