Antibes and Biot

First friday in Cannes!!! Yay! Also our first real excursion. We visited two local towns, Biot and Antibes.

Biot is famous for its glass blowing. We got to see the artists at work and look at some of their more artistic pieces. It was soooo beautiful!!! The shop was really cool too, I found a vase I may just have to return to purchase. Also in Biot was a small museum filled with artwork made of glass, very cool.

After Biot we made our way to Anitbes, which seems like a really cool place to be, particularly at night. The view is beautiful, and all of the big buildings are framed with sting of lights, so it has to be amazing to see in the dark, I'm just gonna have to get back there some evening. Our main reason for going to Antibes was to see the museum which is home to some works of Picasso. There weren't any that were super famous, but they were all really neat to see.

After the museum, I walked around Antibes a bit with Brit, Molly, and Megan. It was good times. The bus ride home was supposed to include a drive along the shore as the sun set, but about 4 girls were super late, so we didn't have time for it. Needless to say, there was a bit of animosity runnin through the bus, but it really wasn't that big of a deal.

Back in Cannes, my roommate, Rachael, and a few other girls, Samantha, Courtney, Heather, Lauren, Ellen Teresa, and Caitlin and myself all went out to eat. It wes a cheapish pizza and pasta place. I got really good ravioli. Exciting days!
