For the past week I have been trying to get invovled with a recreational basketball team here in Halmstad. I had called one of the members, but was unsure of what was really going on due to a bad internet connection. So i figured Iwould just show up to their practices.
The first night I showed up, there were people in the gym, but they were playing floorball (think hockey). I was disappointed but figured I just cam eon the wrong night. So I look at the flyer again, and see that practices are actually Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
I show up the next night (Tues) to see the same situation. Floorball players were present but no one playing basketball. After wondering around for awhile my curiosty was pecqued and I figured there was more to this complex than 1 gym. Sure enough in a couple of minutes I found a much bigger gym. I found it great, I'm ready to play now. Then I notice I only see women in there. The one guy I see is unlocking a cage of basketballs. I think "Hmm, he must know what's going on, I'll ask him". After a brief conversation, I realise the flyer said that women have practice on tues and men is on wed.
First practice comes around and of course we have the worst weather I have seen while I've been here.
