Finally. The time has come at last for some unfortunate family to actually want to have an aussie chik like me!!! Luckily, the Lecaux family of, 7 Rue de L'aiguillon, 35733 Lerouse, FRANCE, who I stayed with during last weekend, have agreed to take on the huge task of keeping me under control for the next three months!!!! Lucky them!

The Lecaux's consist of Patrick, the dad whos uber cool & works as an accountant type person; he loves his job! Francoise is the mum, who would have to be at least a little crazy to have raised three boys. She's an awesome cook, dresses like a 25 year old, & has dyed orange hair!!!!! Frederick, 29, I haven't actually met as yet, as he's the oldest of the brothers & lives in Paris. Then there's Benjamin, whos 25, & he goes to Uni in Rennes & lives in close proximity to the uni. Lastly there's Pierre-Francois, whos 16, & has great english! Thats a great thing! Hes going to Australia, not sure where yet, on exchange in August. Wouldnt say hes gods gift to women, but hes super nice, & does my french homework; so its all good!

Other news is,

Ive had my first bout of homesickness; not a good feeling! Everyone, Im missing you, so send me heaps of emails & call me when you can afford to. My number at the moment is, 9994 2480. Im sure you have to put international numbers in front of that, but you guys can figure that out.

The good things about my host family at the moment:

They're really nice
They treat me like I was one of their own
They wash & iron my clothes
They cook great, (fattening) meals
I get my own room, wardrobe, sink!
Pierre-Francois speaks to me in english
Patrick helps me with my french

The not so good things about my host family at the moment:

They're very protective (a bit over protective)
They dont want me to go to Rennes until they know I can speak more French fluently
They dont want me to go anywhere with people they havent had a meal with
Even though they treat me like one of their own, Pierre-Francois never goes anywhere, so theyre too hesitant too let me go anywhere yet!!!

Hopefully, in time, we'll be able to get over these obstacles, but in the meantime, its making me long for Asutralia, my friends & my family even more, as I know you guys all know me & trust me. Please leave a comment or send me an email to include me in your lives over there!

Apart from that set of hiccups, school is boring as ever! Maths, Science, Physics, History & Geography, I just dont get! Art & English, I do understand & for that I enjoy them, ( Im even tempted to make a comment or two on different art work during art). French, the teacher is very nice, explains everything & gives sarah & I seperate work to help our grammar & understanding of French. On Thursday, we're even going to the Theatre with French!!! Im excited!

Well, thats about all for now. Tonight Im going to a Rotary meeting with Patrick & hopefully Sarah's coming as well! Otherwise Ill be up till about 11pm by myself, with a bunch of old men; BORING!!!!

Cya L8er, allig8er's!!!

Elissa
