So yesterday was Superbowl Sunday in Korea, but alas! no Superbowl. This weekend was a bit of an odd one. Besides the new years weekend of snowboarding (which was, yes fun, but sadly I spent most of it on my ass...from the snowboard dad, not the drink! :P ) I haven't really been going out as much, just kinda bored with nothing to do but drink, so I've been staying in a lot, reading a lot and trying to get back into writing. So Saturday rolls around and at 4 or 5 am the bloody doorbell is ringing and ringing and ringing. One of my friends decided that she was going to lecture me while she was drunk and I was half asleep about my not going out as much. She took it as a personal insult as apparently a couple other people did, that I wasn't going out and drinking every weekend. I don't like being lectured and I was really pissed off and unimpressed that she decided to wake me up and keep me up until about 6 or 7am lecturing me and arguing with me. I kinda understand that she was worried that I was in a funk, but bloody heck! I've got a right to be in a bloody funk if I bloody well want! It's none of her business, it's mine! And goshdarnit, if I don't want to go out drinking, that's also my business! GEEZ! (I'm making an effort to cut back on any swearing here as one of my readers requested I reduce the amount of potty-mouth in my entries)
On another note, my friend back home has the new powermac and is absolutely LOVING it! Its a "dual 2ghz (non dual core).. 4gb of ram (the max for this model) and dual 74GB 10,000RPM raptor drives". Please, may I drool now??? bloody heck!
So I'm into my 6th month here in Korea, trying to think about what I want to do next year. well actually technically it'll be this year (i.e. 2006) but in sept/. dunno yet.
Korea is like totally fixated on reality TV. The newest shows added to the lineup include: Jamie Olliver:Italian Vacation, the regular Apprentice as well as the Martha Stewart one, the Next Martha Stewart type show...Wickedly Perfect i think its called, I Wanna Be a Hilton, The Simple Life: Road Rules, America's Next Top Model, the Most Gorgeous Man in America with Carmen Elektra and I'm sure I'm missing a bunch! Luckily there's a bunch of CSI, Without a Trace (which they call FBI something something here) and Law & Order so its not SO bad. Sadly I've been getting into some of this reality junk but I can quit anytime I want to!
Alright, that's enough written verbal diarrhea for now! Hope you're all enjoying this outlandishly warm weather!
