Birds in the sky... flying high...

2006-02-01, La Guama, Honduras

Thirst thing to do today was to visit one of the last mines in Central America. The mine, in hands of an American Company, delves led, plata and other metals. I'm interested in the process and the products of the mine and will try to get in.

That was not a direct option. Had to write a fax to the General Manager to explain my reasons for visiting in order to get a permission. I might be back later...

Rented a kayak in the afternoon for a little tour around the lake. Beautiful... that many bird species around. The lake itself is nice and peaceful and the mountains on the background produce a beautiful view. Photos coming up later.

Leaving tommorrow for the Bay Islands!!! Jihaa...

Next entry: La Ceiba? What a shithole! Leave now...
