I love this place!

Its funny how this whole spend-a-year abroad thing works really. Just when you feel comfortable enough with your life here compared with your life at home, enough so that you could stay here the rest of your life and feel ok with it, you end up going home in two weeks!

Its alright though because generally this feeling is a rare one, and then something will go wrong and I will be a little homesick again. But I am so far very proud of myself over here, of my french and of my friends and my life. I cant help but thinking sometimes that I will never believe, 10 years down the road, that I was a single 20 year old in Strasbourg! Time of my life.

We've started classes again and hearing the horrible horrible accent of some of the new students is the most painful thing! I mean I know I sounded so american when I first came over here, but because me and the girls have changed our accents to suit the French, well we can't yet pronounce the R's correctly, I forgot about it! Anyway I am glad Im here for a year if just for that.

I could stay here though through feb, no prob. Akira, one of my MASSIES is coming to france with her mom, as well as Jason Ellison, one of my Ste. Annes friends is coming to Lyon with his family. C'est dommage, but I think I will have to miss them. It DOES seem like the year to come to Europe though, everyone is here!

I dont really have a purpose in this entry but the daily longest-afternoon-of-my-life syndrome is taking place. And the sad part is that I actually do have homework this weekend, but I cant get myself around to do it! God. My study habits are shot, and I just need to pass really, which doesnt help at all. Maybe I should take another course or something at Marc Bloch. Who knows.

Alright. I think I should go have a shower or something, I probobly smell like cigarettes. By the way, to any of you non-smokers thinking about coming to France: Beware. You will probobly get lung cancer. Seriously.

Well take 'er easy, b'y

And if she's easy, take 'er twice

Next entry: Goodbye My LOVER, goodbye my FRIEND!!
