hello hello, i just wanted to thank everyone for being so supportive and encouraging in the last few weeks. it's been a difficult and unsettling time for me, as many of you know. in the last week or so it has come down to the question of whether or not i can reasonably see school through this semester. i am still uncertain of what path i want to take, but in the mean time galway has been an interesting place. between my housemates and american friends i have encountered my fair share of pubs and clubs, and overwhelmingly prefer the pubs... a bit of a let down for my housemates. over the weekend i took a short vacation to the city of cork to visit a friend of a friend. it was nice to see another part of ireland and was definitely worth visiting, as it was voted the cultural capital of europe last year. and to think i almost went to dublin.... unfortunately i have acquired some sort of sinus/ear infection and am going to have to take it easy for a few days and hope that it clears up. maybe that will give me the rest i need to keep me going. this coming weekend i have a homestay which i know relatively little about, but it should be interesting. other than that there's not much to say. the internal confilict continues, but i'm trying to make a go of it in the mean time. wish me luck.
