September 5th. Up early today as well. I went straight down to the former house of a guy named Elvis. The house is also known as Graceland.
That was one cooooool house. Not as big and extravagant as you might expect, but very classy indeed. I must admit I am not a huge Elvis fan, but it was really special to just be there. You could almost sense the man was there. I have spent a lot of money already. I have used it on stuff I need, but it’s still a lot. I am also starting to get my language right too. I need a couple of days to get used to speaking English all the time. I have been talking a lot on the phone today, been on the phone for 30 minutes with AOL. They talked me into accepting all sorts of things, but assured me that it was all free for two months, and I could cancel my subscription at any time. We’ll see about that…
People are incredibly talkative here in the US. I never get used to the fact that strangers come up and talk to you for no apparent reason. It’s nice off course, but it puts me in awkward situations where I don’t always know what to answer. A security guard at a mall came over too me and started chatting. He had served with the US army in Norway, and told me how much he loved the country, and envied me for living there. I was going to tell him I was willing to trade hometown with him, but I was in no mood for arguing
And a waitress at ”Ruby Tuesday’s” called Autumn thought it was soooo much fun to talk with me, that she didn’t want me too leave, and stopped serving other customers! She was cute too
