Hello All, So we made it to Arica last week. Itīs the northern most city before the Peruvian border. We have a great apartment that we are staying in for the month, it's only a block from the beach and we have a little balcony that looks out to the water. We think we can see the coast of Peru from where we are too, that's how close we are, pretty cool!! Since our cell doesn't seem to work we also have a room phone in the apartment if anyone needs or wants to call the number is: 011-56-58-211107. That number gets you the front desk, from there you have to ask to speak to room 33...(Puedo hablar con habitacion treinta y tres). We've just been settling in for the most part. We spent the day at one of the downtown beaches today, a lot more people go there than the one close to us so we think we might stick close to our beach. The waves are huge here and we are searching for a place to rent us some surfboards to try out a little surfing!! We are going to go to the National Park Lauca this weekend, its half in Chile half in Bolivia. It has one of the worldīs highest lakes and more hot springs!! Hopefully we can figure out how to get there and around by ourselves, we'll see! We're also going to go to El Morro, which is next to the center here, its a gigantic rock peak/mini mountain that you climb up and can see all over town and farther, it looks cool from down here so the pics from that should be great.
