Today we took a tour, along with a couple of Peace Corps Volunteers from the States, to Laguna Paron. It`s a lovely turquoise lake surrounded by snowcapped mountains (which, need I say, we didn´t see THAT much of!). The bus journey from Chimbote to Caraz, distance-wise, is about the same as from Huanchaco to Chimbote and there the similarity ends!
