Next Stop............... LyonLeaving Paris was quite exciting. It was the first time we really used our rail passes, signalled the beginning of our "real trip" (we now had no pre-booked accommodation)and the train we caught took us to Lyon at about 300km per hour!!

SundayAfter going to bed at 2.30am, none of us were very active on Sunday morning (except Scoop of course, who woke us up a few times in the night with his excellent guard-dog reaction to noises. SaturdayOh twas nice to wake up and not be rushing off to the lab to cut open bee heads! I had a sleep-in, then breakfast with M-J and Noriko. M-J showed me around the new parts of the house and the garden.
Christian and I then spent the morning doing a fabulous bike-ride between and around 3 of Lyon's parks, riding along the banks of the Rhone river inbet...
