Arriving in Srinagar, 3 things struck me immediately. First of all, the temperature was warm but with a pleasant cool breeze. hi i just returned from srinagar in kashmir. i visited against the odds but found the country and people beautiful.i stayed alone on a house boat. went water trecking in the lakes and rivers on a tiny shikara (like a gondola boat) hardly saw another westerner, the local people were so happy to see foreigners returning. i was embraced by women and children and protected and cared for by men. an amazing place. surrounded by snow capped himalaya mou...
