Mumbai Travel Stories
Hello India!
So I've made it to India! Although still 2 more flights to go, but I have a while to wait before leaving for Chennai so thought I'd make the most of Mumbai airports Complimentary Internet Service. Very kind of them! Although its prooving quite difficult to type as most of the letters have all rubbed off the keyboard. Mumbai and the Food Train
Mumbai was underwhelming. You have no idea what a great relief this was. We were expecting a city on crack, as in all of the crazy aspects of a city (people, traffic, rubbish, noise, nonsense, pollution) but amplified to unbearable degrees. In reality, Mumbai (or Bombay as old habits die hard) was much milder than our nightmare vision. It was fine. No need to linger, just fine. Nothwithstanding the massive slums Mumbai seems to have a better infrastructure, more parks, a lot less garbage tha...

South to the North

Last time I updated I was in Mangalore about to set off for Goa. We caught an overnight coach but the Indian roads made it a bit like trying to sleep through an earthquake! We arrived in Goa bleary eyed and found a hotel, basic but clean with a wonderful owner. After a few h...
