Quiet Day on the Boat
Woke up pretty early doors this morning... no hangover though... the wine must have been a good yield! Had a shower in the worst Wash Room i will probably ever go in ever again (maybe not), it was practically a hosepipe hanging off the wall but saying that it was quality hot water! For the rest of the day i pretty much soaked up the Yangzi river and all it's beauty, while supping on a few beers and listening to my i-pod, in places the river is...

Shiver me timbers...
Another early start (6:30), well it was actually later than that as today i realised that since i had began my trip my watch has been 10 mins slow... god knows how i haven't missed a train so far. On arrival in Yichang i got myself straight to the port to try and find a boat... In my very pigeon chinese (slightly harsh on a pigeon), i had booked myself a boat to Chongqing, 3rd class, 1 day and 2 nights accomodation... 20 euro's! god knows what...

Yangste cruise

We are boarding an overnight train to Luoyang tonight that arrives at 2am so it will be a short night for us since we'll be up bright and early and on the go once again. Wayne is battling a...

Imagine a Super WalMart loaded with Chinese goods, an American import wall, live fish, turtles, and other sea creatures, and a thousand Chinese people scrambling around. We grabbed some granola bars and Pop-tarts just in case we need an American fix on this 4-night river cruise. Th...

Traveling the Silk Road while Drinking Green Tea
Leaving the local online store, I returned to the front desk and the man gave me 15 out of 20 of my Yuan back. For an hours worth of internet surfing, I had to pay 5 Yuan or about 50 cents or so! Whereas while in the hotel I paid 80 Yuan for 30 minutes. Although I paid 30 Yuan in taxi rides to get there, I would rather support the local community and have an adventure. I easily found a cabbie to get home. I got back about 6:30 and the wa...
